Halloween seems likes weeks ago now that we have welcomed November. Miss Kathy and I would like to give a big shout out to our fantastic parents for throwing such a great Halloween party. The children had so much fun, the food selection was delicious and plentiful and everyone looked very convincing in their cool Halloween costumes-parents included. Thanks again!
Here is a closer look at all of our little goblins and the party.

Tricky Turkeys to Make Debut!
Extra, extra-read all about it. Turkeys are arriving incognito to our kindergarten class. Why? So they won't be eaten of course! Your child is bringing home a detailed letter about the next Family Project as well as a template for the turkey. The template is on either black or orange paper. Please read the letter carefully and mark your calendar for the due date. Look below to see some examples of past turkeys. Everyone did such an amazing job on the pumpkins that the turkeys should be some of the best ever as well!

Pumpkin Power
Thank you so much for your hard work and creativity in making our first family project a roaring success. It is obvious by looking at your handiwork and talking to your children that a good time was had by all. We are proud of your efforts and the student body is very excited about each of the pumpkins.
Grandparents are Great
What a joy having your child's grandparents visit us on Friday. The children were so proud to have their grands here to see our room and some of the impressive work they've done. If you do not see your child and his grandparents in a picture below it is because your child's name is clearly visible on grandmother or grandfather's nametag. I will e-mail you a copy of the picture tomorrow if it isn't here.
Shapes Make Great Pictures
Our students are able to choose a shape template and cover the area with the wooden shapes we happen to be learning about at the moment. You can make some pretty impressive pictures with wooden shapes.
Monster Squeeze is a Blast
Our students are asking to play Monster squeeze each day. We started small, in groups of two with a number line that stops at ten. Now we are using a number line that goes to one-hundred. That's progress! We hope you are having fun playing Monster Squeeze at home with the materials your child brought home a few weeks ago.
